HALF BLACK BLUES: $35 / PAIR OR $50/ TRIO | |||
---|---|---|---|
These striking fish originated from a Chang/Alderson
Half-black Blue line, crossed through my Black line. This strain was
then stablized by inbreeding before crossing with the Polunas strain
to create my own variety. The finnage colors are a strking vivid blue.
The half-black body is very dark and has good density.
The caudal and dorsal are deep sky blue with occasional
minor variations in the color. This line is currently bred from 2000
show winning breeders.
The females have perfect Robson blue tails, are very fertile.
Current 2003 phenotypical and pedigree status is the same!

PINGU PINKS: $40 / PAIR OR $50 / TRIO | |||
This strain dates back to the late 1970's era when they
were published in People magazine and sold for a record
$200.00 / pair. Unfortunately, only a few were the top
quality. Developed by David Liebman over a ten year period in the 70's,
this guppy is a striking metallic half-pink color with a black to bronze
belly. Alot of work was done to create this strain and many of the top guppy
breeders best strains had been incorporated into the making of the Pingu.
As a result the potential for making new strains from outcrossing the Pingus
is infinite. This strain was basically lost in the USA for several years
but thanks to our guppy friends at New England Fancy Guppy
Association, some original stock was reobtained from an English
breeder and the strain is now reestablished here in the USA.
The photos above are from my stock at 4-5 months
of age. The finnage in my strain has been much improved by crossing
through the Red Albinos. European and Japanese strains are usually
smaller with shorter finnage.
The Show winning strain is available at Lukes'
Show GuppiesWGC 1999 points are greater than 75 in the show
specimens
The strain is slow growing, and are the IFGA AOC color class
champions for 1999 .
Fertile breeds 100% true. Current 2003 Phenotypical status has
more coppery pink finnage colors. Please check my stocklist or
contact me by e-mail for current availability status. |

prolific. This strain has the potential to handily win the yellow class.
